What is being done?

Right now I am working with 6 other school divisions: Medicine Hat Public, Medicine Hat Catholic, Palliser, Horizon, Holy Spirit and Prairie Rose. We are developing Math lessons to be used on the SMART board. These units are being developed using the Understanding By Design method. We are chunking curriculum concepts together, creating a performance assessment and then developing the lessons that will allow students to do the performance assessment. Mental math is being embeded into the units so that everything needed will be handy and all in one place.

Where are we at?

Right now we have completed one grade 6 unit. A second grade 6 unit is well underway. We have split into teams with one team focusing K-3, one team 4-6 and one team 7-9 and 10-3. As these resources become available I will post on here.
